Workshop on “Applied Artificial Intelligence in Industry”

Dian Arsa Inovasi (DARSI) was proud to support the successful implementation of the “Applied Artificial Intelligence in Industry” workshop, held on 15–16 March 2023 in collaboration with the Industrial Engineering Department of Swiss German University (SGU). The event took place at the Digital Industry Center of Indonesia (PIDI 4.0), under the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), and was made possible with the full support of PT AWASIN, PATLITE, MOXA, and Techsource Systems.
Industry Participation and Engagement
The workshop was attended by more than 30 professionals and practitioners from leading companies, including:

This diverse audience reflected a growing interest in AI-driven industrial transformation and cross-sector collaboration.
Expert-Led Sessions
The workshop featured 10 expert speakers representing both academia and industry:
- Dr. Eng. Aditya T. Pratama, Ir. Triarti Saraswati, M.Eng, Ivan Kurniawan, MT, MBA, and Dr. Tanika D. Sofianti from Swiss German University
- Mr. Bambang Nugroho and Ms. Rasyiqah Annani from Techsource Systems
- Mr. Martin Kurnadi from PT AWASIN
- Mr. Clyde Lee and Mr. Kevin P.F. Sheu from MOXA
- Mr. Marchellino I. Kwasasi from PATLITE
The sessions offered valuable insights into both strategic and technical aspects of AI implementation—ranging from real-time industrial applications to the integration of AI tools within smart devices and software platforms.
Applied Learning with Industry Tools
Participants explored how Artificial Intelligence can be implemented in manufacturing environments, guided by:
- Techsource Systems, who introduced the MATLAB AI toolbox and its industrial applications
- PT AWASIN, MOXA, and PATLITE, who showcased how their equipment integrates AI for smarter operations
The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding AI beyond theory, focusing on real-world applications that support productivity, adaptability, and long-term innovation.
Advancing Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration
This initiative also served as part of SGU Industrial Engineering’s community service program, aimed at promoting digital literacy and industrial readiness for Industry 4.0. By bringing together academia, industry practitioners, and government, the event aligned with the national initiative “Making Indonesia 4.0”, fostering stronger partnerships and innovation ecosystems.
DARSI supports these efforts as part of its mission to build knowledge-based, technology-enabled, and human-centered industrial solutions.
